Last night, Kendall, Nu-Nu, Brenna, and I had a nice little adventure. Go figure. We decided to hit the dollar movie theater (which actually charged us $2 for tickets, and an arm and a leg for snacks) for a fun outing. We checked movie listings online, debating on what movie to see and finally deciding on Get Smart, figuring we could all use a little intelligence. We didn't take Nu-Nu's car, since a walk would help keep off the Freshman 15. We had skipped dinner, preparing for a stop at Golden Spoon for some "fro-yo." It was quite delicious.
At the theater, the lines were long for tickets and refreshments, so we split up to divide and conquer! I got done buying the tix faster than the other three got through the refreshment line, so I came to order with them. When it was my turn, I told the girl I wanted a small popcorn and a small pop. She just stared at me with a blank expression on her face. Brenna had to translate and tell her that I want a small SODA. Apparently, no one says pop in southern Cali. Oops.
Get Smart was quite fantastic. The plot was maybe a little lacking, but the irony used was hilarious!! We all laughed our heads off. After the movie, we walked back to campus. Brenna tried to push us into the street...again. We'll thank her later. She wanted to high-five the "don't walk" sign, but was too short. Bummer.
Once we made it back to campus, we crossed a pipe over a small stream. Brenna was really afraid she was going to fall in. I climbed a tree I had wanted to climb since I got here.
That's about it for last night. Ta-ta for now!!
